This keynote panel will highlight the drivers for change from two perspectives on driving transformation from the ground up while simultaneously facing the challenges of international competitiveness. The promise of digital learning provides hope for solutions to transform education. Leadership to help engage communities and building the public will for change are key components.

Dr. Tony Bennett has keynoted major educational events and will describe his “Vision for Change: Creating an Urgency for Transforming Education in Today’s Global Market”. Author of Saving Schools, Harvard Professor and Director of the Harvard Program on Education Policy and Governance, Dr. Paul Peterson will share comparative data from international education research, discuss drivers for change and education reform, and underscore the potential for online learning to help build solutions: “Lessons from the International Experience: Lifting U.S. Students to World Class Levels of Performance”. Innosight Institute Executive Director for Education and Disrupting Class author Michael Horn will moderate the panel and engage in a discussion on innovating for transformational change with Bennett and Peterson following the keynote talks.
